I had some leftover fabric from making the Hunter Star Quilt so I decided to make some placemats rather than just putting the fabric in my scrap bin. I added a blue border which I am not fond of but didn't want to rip it out.
I love to quilt and travel and since I retired a few years ago I wanted to do some writing about my quilting and travelling and share it with others.

Quilt Therapy
It was a cold and windy day today but we didn't care because we were in Joyce's sunroom enjoying the sunshine and a day of sewing. The temperature is -22C with windchill of -30C. Now that is cold.
Pierina has finished her tree quilt.
The colours are so striking.
She found some really cute fabric with houses
on it for her backing.
to save on fabric.
Joyce's cushion - with the backing sewn on.
She is making the back of the cushion
envelope style but adding tabs with buttons
for decoration.
A cute idea.
Maria is putting the binding on her schnibbles quilt.
All finished.
So Pretty.
Maria has the bag I made her for Christmas.
I am making Maple Leaf Blocks for a kit
that I picked up last March in New York City, called
I had started these in July at retreat
and had forgotten all about it until
Lynda asked had I finished it yet.
I managed to get 4 out of the 16
blocks finished.
Great Therapy today.

Three more Finishes
I have finished my first Monthly mini from Country Junk'tion. I haven't decided if I am going to make them into a quilt or as minis so I haven't put any batting and backing on it but it is appliqued.
My January Snowman
The new Block also came down for Morning Glory Designs and I finished it today.
Block 2 - Tossed Daisies
I also joined a Block of the Week from Lyn Brown. It is The Quilter's Alphabet. Week one is the letter of the Alphabet and week 2 is something starting with that letter.
