The Quilt Show

It has been a very busy 3 days.  On Thursday we had to bring our quilts in to the CLE so that the hanging committee could get them all organized and hung for the show which started on Friday.

On Friday Maria and I went over and had a quick look but I forgot my camera so I went back today and took a few pictures.

There were over 100 quilts altogether, and then in the side cases and on the ends of the booths there were a lot of tablerunners and wall hangings to fill the spaces.

There is also a featured quilter.  Helen Knights brought a lot of her quilts in for the show.  Helen is 99 years young (and that is not a misprint) and she has been quilting for over 50 years.  I think there is alot she can teach us new quilters.

Getting ready for the quilt show

All the hanging sleeves have been sewn
 on to my 3 quilts
so they are ready to go to the show.
We also tested the dowels and they are strong enough.

All stacked and ready to go.

The Guild is also looking for small items
so I am going to take
a few table runners
and
Patchabilities door hangings
and see if they
would like to have some
for the small display cases.

I think I will also take

I hope other members also bring
in some small
quilted things to display.
