Midnight Posies

A few years ago I started a block of the month from Morning Glory Designs.  I like to look around the Internet for interesting patterns and sometimes I will do a block of the month and sometime I just save it till I can find time to fit it in.  I always seam to have sew much on the go.  I am usually sewing 2 or 3 things at one time.

I finally finished the quilt as we are going visiting in July and I thought I would take it with me as a gift for the hostess.  I also made a bag for it.

This is the work in progress that I posted a while ago.

Midnight Posies

I changed the applique since I wanted to get it finished and the other flowers were too small.  I used fabric from all the squares when I did the flowers around the edge.

No gift is complete without a bag.

Another Finish

I get a newsletter once a week from
and found a neat quilt.

Batik Squares and Strips

I had some batiks in my stash so I decided to make
this quilt and use it as a table topper.

Here is my finished quilt.

I had some orange and green that I thought went
well with the burgundy and blue.

It looks nice on my patio table
I just might keep it there
and take my quilting
outside this summer.

Wallet and Credit Card Holders

I can't seem to resist making these small wallets and credit card holders.  I made 2 today.  The little blue one was made about a month ago.

2 small Credit Card Holders and one Large

There is a bit of a story behind these.  The large credit card holder was suppose to be a wallet made from the pattern at Moda Bake Shop but when I was making it I didn't like the way it was turning out so I left off the back part which was to be used to store dollar bills etc, and decided to make it into a Credit Card Holder.

I also made a row of stitching under each
card slot so that the Credit Card
would not slide down out of sight.
This was not called for in the directions but
I thought it needed it.

I then took the other piece
that was prepared for the back of the wallet
and stitched it so that it could be a small card holder.

Folded into thirds it
works great.
I think I will add a snap fastener to
it to keep it together.

I just love this fabric.  It has scenes from
Peggy's Cove Nova Scotia,
Niagara Falls, Ontario
Cavendish Beach, Prince Edward Island.

It is real Canadiana.
