Scrappy Sack

HAPPY CANADA DAY - 144 YEARS OLD.

When we were in Beaver Bay MN in April I picked up the pattern and fabric to make A Scrappy Sack by This & That Patterns, for the fall.  I was anxious to see how it turned out.

Here is my version of this bag.

on the inside I put pockets that the pattern
didn't call for, but I always have
to have pockets.

The back shows off the fabric better.

It is Drangonfly Summer by Moda.
The outer bag takes most of a charm pack and you
need to buy fabric for the lining and handles.

I changed the pattern a little because I made
my lining so that you don't see the seams
and I didn't add buttons to the handles
but
sewed them down to the bag.

A cute little bag for fall.

I meant to tell you that I really like your version of the bag best. The blue flower contrasts nicely, but not too strongly with the earth colors in the rest of the bag.

I really like the birthday bag you sent with the egret quilt inside. Tonight we had dinner (grilled steak and salad) with our friends Steve and Jeanelle and I took my "Farouk Bag" with me with my reading glasses, herbal tea, sleeveless alternate blouse, etc. I think I said this before, but it is amazing how much the gray and cream kitty looks like my Farouk (aka Cobweb). The orange kitty is like my memories of Pumpkin.

Do you realize your blog is just like a long quilt? I don't read it every day, but I really enjoy it.
