Westminster Cathedral

Last night we went to Westminster Cathedral. This is not the Abbey but a catholic church here in London. We went to evening mass. It was an like a Canadian high mass, very nice celebration. Massive amount of people, probably because there are very few Catholic churches in England.

After mass we went to "the Albert" for fish and chips and a Brew.
Today we are going to St Paul's Cathedral and Kensington Palace and a few others.

Yes, I remember going to both churches many years ago. The Abby was very clean, shiny, and beautiful. I remember lots of light and color. The Cathedral I remember as being mostly gray and somewhat rundown; nonetheless, it was beautiful in that it seemed to maintain a midaeval character, and I felt the presence of the thousands of souls who had passed in and out over the centuries.

Sounds to me like you are doing a lot of walking--you'll need to come home for a rest! We had a good visit with Mike the other night here and then we all went out to celebrate J's birthday last night! I think a good time was had by all. H & L
